Manchurian sauce is a fusion of Indian and Chinese flavors. Start with store-bought barbecue sauce and you can make a delicious version in minutes!
Sauces: Quick Manchurian Sauce

Ingredients
- 1 cup barbecue sauce
- 2-3 tbsp soy sauce (see Notes)
- ¼ cup green bell pepper, finely minced
- ¼ cup onion, finely minced
- 1 cm fresh or preserved ginger, finely minced
- 1 tbsp neutral-flavor oil
Instructions
- Heat oil in a small pot.
- Add green bell pepper, onion, and ginger. Cook until soft and fragrant.
- Remove from heat.
- Stir in barbecue sauce and soy sauce.
- Taste and adjust as desired.
Notes
I recommend Kikkoman or McCormick brands. The Oriental brand has a very different flavor.
